Fennelseed
My name is Annie. I am also known around these parts as Fennelseed.
I am passionate about a lot of things and have in recent time discovered the benefits of conveying my passion and thoughts through the written word. Writing has provided a release for me since my son's tragic accident in December 2010. I have written my way through so much pain and grief and now I long to write further about subjects I hold dear. My son held such strong and commendable principles and shared my passion for a simple sustainable life. I write for him.
Simple Sustainable Living with a Positive Sustainable Mind
"Only until all of mankind lives in harmony with nature can we truly decree ourselves to be an intelligent species" - Genelle Haldane.
The Indigenous people of many continents were living in harmony with the earth until 'Western' ways displaced them. Now our so called 'civilised' societies are facing (and responsible for); depletion of our natural resources, over population, deforestation, shortages of one of our most basic needs - water, extinction of many, many species of wild life, global warming, pollution and an uncertain future for our species.
These problems can seem insurmountable and maybe they are but small inroads can be made by living in a more sustainable way with less reliance on the so called innovations and technologies that over time have contributed to the current global situation.
I strive to live a simple, uncluttered life. I can live my life free from mind clutter and negative thought. I live a joyful and happy life.
I love to dream and create. Dreaming unleashes endless possibilities.
"Those who lose dreaming are lost" - Australian Aboriginal Proverb
I love the beauty of nature. My eyes have been sharpened since experiencing great emotional trauma. I take my camera everywhere and love to capture beauty all around me. You are welcome to check out two of my my photo essays here:
